Roots || A VARIANxOC Romance

Loretta has always been a loner.. a recluse.. Especially ever since her strange, earth-related powers revealed themselves. So when she accidentally runs into a certain Varian one day, Loretta fully intends on avoiding him. After all, he's really smart; he'll discover her secret in no time! Plus, Varian's an ex-villian.. He's attacked the royal family and Corona multiple times in the past..
But, a part of Loretta can't help being drawn to Varian.. In more ways than one.

Varian's still struggling to forgive himself for what he did.. First with attacking the royal family and Corona, then coming back with the Saporians and taking over the kingdom.. Sure, he ended up joining Rapunzel in stopping them, and Rapunzel even helped him free his father from the amber.. But that still doesn't change the past or justify his previous actions. Besides, the people of Corona don't seem to want to forgive Varian.. Why should Varian even try to forgive himself?
But that's when the strange and elusive-but also beautiful-Loretta whirls (literally) into his life.. And for Varian, things take a dramatic turn.

As these two unlikely characters become friends, one has to wonder: What adventures await them? Who will they meet along the way? What paths will they cross? What decisions will they make? And.. most importantly..
Will their friendship grow to become something more?
