Shiro never returns from his mission to Kerberos leaving Akiko lost without her brother. Luckily Keith Kogane is right there with her. At first they are inseparable, always there for each other until one day Keith disappears from Akiko's life without warning. It isn't until Shiro crash lands back on Earth that they meet again. She follows the group of teenagers who helped her brother escape the Garrison's clutch, but wasn't expecting a journey out to space.
At heart she knows she belongs on land, down back on Earth. She was training to be a medic and never had intentions of being out in space. Fortunately for her, there seems to be one person who makes her feel grounded out in the void of nothing. Can she forgive him for leaving her? What will Shiro say about her crush on Keith? Is there a chance Keith has a crush back? Or is he too busy dealing with his new Galra instincts, taking control?
