Yoru spent his entire life yearning for the simpler things. He wanted peace and quiet, but being the only Lunarin in the land of the elves, he very seldom got it. 

After being invited to The Kings Games with his father, Yoru meets the Ashen siblings, the children of the Lord of Garnda. There, he is exposed to the nobles of elven high society and their games. After being framed for murder, Yoru is locked away by the man who did commit the crime and learns a horrifying truth- Lumera was swarming with demons hiding behind smiling faces. Trapped, scared and desperate for a way to clear his name- Yoru must find allies with people he truly didn't expect.

Meanwhile, the Lord of Garnda has run afoul of the king and his entire family is arrested. The Ashen siblings look for help from the Mayor of their closest town and find themselves lumped with a demon and runaway Lunarin. Together, the group travels across the Kingdom to free the innocent Lord and attempt to exonerate Yoru.

With every step of his journey, Yoru feels a strong sense of deja vu. Has he done this before? Did he already know these people? As revelations come to pass, Yoru must come to terms with who he truly is and what it means for the Kingdom of Lumera.
