Linlang Yang was part of the Avatar Program for a few years. Studying the environment, the animals, the language the Na'vi spoke, etc. She studied everything and had her own avatar body. She didn't enjoy plants as much as her boss, but more on the wildlife.
She has been wanting to see a Na'vi, and her wish finally comes true when more avatar drivers arrive. Little did she know, she had already caught the eyes of the Na'vi.
