Before I knew it, the space between us had considerably lessened. In fact, there was hardly any space left. My heart started beating violently. His fingers entwined around mine. He pulled me towards him, and before I could process what was happening, his lips were on mine.

Suddenly, I was finding it extremely hard to breathe. ""

He walks up to me, the girl standing behind him. "Hello Jordan," Gillespie says. He points to the girl. "This little lady here is a new student. I'm gonna have her work with you today, show her the ropes. Behave yourselves." Before I get a chance to protest, Gillespie walks off to check on other people's progress. The girl just stands there, looking at me quizzically. "Um," I say. "Do you have a name?" "Yes," she says, and I'm struck by her accent. I think it's French. "My name is Nicole, Nicole Lavoie." "Interesting. Say, is that a French accent I hear? Are you from Quebec or something?" "Yes, I am, she says. "Montreal, to be exact." "Really? I've always wanted to go there!" "That's awesome. Uh, your name is Jordan, right?" "Yes, yes it is." *** Jordan Devlin is a hockey player, and a good one at that. Although hockey has always been his passion, there is one thing that he hasn't been able to figure out: love. When he suddenly meets a girl he finds incredibly attractive, he is unsure of what to do. What will Jordan do about this girl, now that he finds his life turned upside down? *** "Tell me a bit about yourself. You're the first person here that I've talked to since coming here." "Alright," I say, unsure of what to say next. "I spend a lot of my time playing hockey. That's where I strive to be professionally." "You're a hockey player, huh? Nicole asks excitedly. "What position?" "Centre." "Cool. You do much of anything else?" I shrug. "No. Just a hockey player." "Are you any good?" "How does fifty goals in twenty games sound to you?" Her eyes widen. "That's near impossible, isn't it?" "Apparently not." "That's impressive. Now, let's get to work. The teacher is staring at us." I nod, and we get to work. The whole time, I cannot help but smile stupidly, because Nicole took such an interest in me, and who I am. She seems so full of life, and not one to let it bring her down. I'm beginning to like her already.

Completed. ☼ " Her denial, that was like a dam holding back a flood of feeling, of sweet relief for desperate soil, holding back a flood it stood no chance against, as yet another crack formed with a strong wave that already knew it had won. On the other side Marley stood, watching her dam's inevitable, impending destruction - fearing, knowing, that quenching her aching thirst would be synonymous with drowning, would be synonymous with coming up for air, would be synonymous with surrendering to a force of nature that was beautiful in all its calm, but terrifying in all its chaos. He absentmindedly tucked a loose flyaway behind her ear. Right then. Another crack in her last line of defence. Another rolling back of a wave, gaining strength, beating against the tired concrete. Another overflow rolling above the wall, droplets racing to sink into her every vulnerable place. Another enigma - still being afraid, while watching the water, and feeling the ache " ☼ Praise for 'Camp Where The Hell Are We?' Highest rank #27 in Teen Fiction. Written by @apricitys. _ _ _ "What is this?" He asked, not even bothering to look at the canvas in front of me. Instead, his eyes were locked in mine. I swallowed my saliva, chills running down my spine. I felt my palms getting sweaty as my legs nervously started bouncing up and down. Without giving me time to answer, he took a step closer to me, eyes still locked in mine. Each time he inched closer, I used my right foot to slowly push myself and the stool back. It seemed to be the only option to get away from him; until he forced his hands below the sides of my thighs, holding the stool in place. He released a soft chuckle as he eyed me from my eyes, down to my lips. "You're beautiful," he said. From his voice, I couldn't tell if he was being serious, or messing around. It sounded sincere, however there was a smirk on his face. The smirk that he always has on his face when he's found an amusing target. Then he averted his attentions back to my eyes. His expressions softened up the moment his eyes landed back on mine. His smirk disappeared. I cleared my throat and broke the eye contact. I looked down at my palms as I rubbed the sweat against my jeans, "What do you want, Landon?" I asked, almost whispering. I felt his hand brushing against my right cheek, as he tilts my chin up to look back at him. His messy brown hair, his light blue eyes and his pink soft lips were just centimeters from mine. I felt his breath lingering on the upper tip of my lip. In a panic, I pressed my palms against his chest and push him off. He stumbled back with a surprised look on his face. "Aubrey." _ _ _ Landon Carthy is an arrogant boy, who knowns to have absolutely no care in the world. Making girls suffer feels great to him. But what happens when a new girl in town becomes one of his victims? Will she allow him to walk upon her like all the other girls do?

It's a lot better than what I can do." "This college essay has absolutely no direction". "Well, why are you telling me to come read it so far? Can't you just ask Josh- I mean, he's smart-" He shot up from his desk. "You know I can't do that!" "Oh yeah. Right, sorry. Look, why don't you ask him out already". Noah blushed furiously. I can't do that. What if he's not... you know... into guys? A-and we're already good friends, I don't want to risk our friendship over this. I saw what he meant. He stopped writing and looked up at me. I asked him, "Would you spend the rest of your life with him?" He sighed and put his hand over his heart. "Of course I would. He means everything to me". "Well, I know you'll take good care of him. Just try to ask him out to the dance. He paused, and smiled. "You know what, maybe I will. Thanks Sadie". "No problemo,'' I grinned.
