    When Akou Shei finds out he's a ghoul at the age of 4 he has to eat although not knowing the wrong of ghouls, eating another species. He found this out when he was seven and ran away to the 20th and to a place called Anteiku. Anteiku helped him out through his darkest moments. He also decides to go to school although it may risk blowing his cover of being a ghoul. He doesn't like being a ghoul but he has to live with it.
