It's the summer of 1986 Will Byers is currently living in California with his mother, sister and brother. He constantly feels lonely due to his friends being in Hawkins and the fact he feels so out of place in this city. Mike wheeler is in Hawkins living his usual life with those closest to him, although the only difference is his girlfriend and best friend aren't with him. After months of sent letters and no reply, Will decides to try and move on. By doing this a new person grabs his attention meaning Mike is slowly leaving his thoughts.
