Who I am, Who I Was

Seventeen-year-old Zipster Mendéz is new to St. Vince. A tiny little island located a little ways away from Hawaii. St. Vince is not a part of North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Australia, or Europe. To them, the island is just uncharted territory. Everybody thinks that it is somebody else's. But, it belongs to nobody. The people whom live there know that. St. Vince isn't worth fighting over, its too small. There is only one hospital, one high school, three restaurants, and less than a thousand people who inhabit the island.
Zipster only moved to St. Vince with her brother Wesley Mendéz, he is twenty-five. After the death of their mother and the departure of their father, they decided to move together. As long as Zipster stays in school, and keeps a grade higher than a C-, she is aloud to stay in Wesley's custody. At any time, she is aloud to go back to their grandmothers custody, but thats the last thing Zipster wants. She lost everything, now she only has Wesley.
Zipster is pretty high up on the popularity pyramid. She is the girl kicker on the schools varsity football team, so she is quite popular with the boys. She is also the trumpet player for the advanced band. So through all of this, nobody understands what she is going through. After her parental drama, she thought that things could not get worse. Zipster had no clue about what was coming for her. What the people she didn't know could do.
