More than a Cure || The Last of Us

It's been five years since Joel rescued Ellie from the fireflies, preventing them from killing her for a worldwide cure for humanity due to her immunity to the cordyceps brain infection that withered humanity for the last two decades.

Ellie, coming into grips with her identity and survivor's guilt, soon discovers Joel's lie and alienates him from her everyday life out of bottled anger.

Joan and Jevvin, two 20-year old Latin-American twins, were trained as assassins in this apocalyptic world by the ones who swore they'd prepare them for the ultimate threat: their despotic father.

However, due to a catastrophic betrayal, the twins became lone survivors as they soon end up behind the walls of Jackson community, leading them to reunite with their friend from the past: Ellie.

Following the heart-wrenching events of The Last of Us Part II, an alternative story is told as Joan and Jevvin encounter this new community, building relationships, trust and long-lasting stability to continue the fight for survival as members of an outside organization threaten Ellie and everyone she deems close to her.

But little did they know, the twins' past would soon come to haunt their present, for those they've grown to love in the community of Jackson are targeted by the ones they swore they'd left behind.
