It is three months after Gaea's defeat and Camp Halfblood is hanging by a thread. Percy is a shadow of who he was; a war hardened warrior. He takes on quest after quest to distract him from his losses, but he is still broken, no matter how much he tries to stay strong for the Camp. During a sudden visit to his mom's house, he gets a glimpse of her past while being pulled into another war. His PTSD is at an all time high and he was finally starting to accept their deaths when he discovers the woman he calls mom has her own skeletons hiding in the closet. And they are only now beginning to crawl out from the cracks.

After years of dealing with this indescribable pain, he came to the belief that he'd die with this horrible life. Or so he thought. With what began with a terrible loss actually leads up to a life he never expected to have. He earns great reward, respect, and a bright future for completing a severe quest that depended on succession. However, like many quests this one's not going to be easy. Whether it be mythological monsters or a haunting from his past, he manages to triumph over them all thanks to a couple of familiar and new faces. Throughout his quest he finds answers to many questions to his life but one: Is this where his story ends? --- Before you begin reading there's a few more things I want to mention regarding the story. Some chapters are narrated by different characters (symbols will be provided), there are mild abusive moments, it doesn't immediately dive into arriving at Camp Half-Blood nor knowing the main character's name, and this story takes place a month after The Titans Curse (so Percy, Annabeth, and Grover won't be included in "this" story). This is my first story, so I hope y'all like it. This story is dedicated to my high school teachers (for the sake of their privacy, I won't give their names). It was thanks to them I found my passion for writing and came up with the idea to post my stories.
