The white was something just short of blinding as their eyes came into what they thought was focus. There really wasn't much to focus on, so they wouldn't be able to tell either way. It was stagnant and still, a place so unnaturally quiet and undisturbed that it irked the one who had just woken.
It's such a shame they don't know the scope of their predicament.
