Feeling defeated and ready to go home, they are met with the legendary pokémon Arcues. The god of pokémon could sense their love and despair and gifted them with a fully developed egg. On her fifth birthday, Ben and Jin happily gave her the pokémon egg. The egg had hatched immediately into a Riolu, and Emmaly and Riolu loved each other at once. Peace would not last forever as the Langit family got invaded. Emmaly and her parents were forced to retreat as the two brothers held the invaders off. They were never seen again after that. At age thirteen, Emmaly takes Riolu and runs away from home to start her own journey. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION.
