Galadriel is drawn to Halbrand's darkness, and he to her light. The pull towards one another becomes irresistible while he recovers in Eregion from his near-fatal wound. Galadriel cannot escape the shame of having shared her bed and body with her mortal enemy. Sauron heads to Mordor, believing that his dream of redemption is lost. But the last blade of Mairon reunites them amid circumstances that require they pretend to be a crownless king and his warrior queen.
