Han pasado dos años desde la derrota del Monstruo Buu, la Tierra vive tiempos de paz y los Guerreros Z han aprovechado para descansar y/o entrenar para ser mejores peleadores. En medio de esta efímera tranquilidad, un enigmático e inesperado enemigo ha está planificando entre las sombras su plan de venganza contra dos personas en específico, así como crear una máquina capaz de convertirlo en el ser más fuerte de todos. Afortunadamente, pese al desconocimiento del resto del equipo, hay dos chicos saiyajines (Goten y Trunks) quienes sin pensarlo serán los encargados de frenar los planes del villano y evitar que se convierta en una amenaza mayor; de la misma manera, mientras intentan detenerlo, también surgirán ciertos dilemas y conflictos personales entre ellos, los cuales deberán de resolver de forma simultanea para que su amistad no se vea afectada.

Trunks is having a hard time at his job at Capsule Corp. With everything he has to do as president, he's beginning to overwork himself and he wants to take a break, but he doesnt want to let any of his employees - or especially his mother - down. He has to convince Bolus Brand's owner, Mr. Korudamon, to have a mutual collaboration with Capsule Corp. If he screws this up, the entire reputation of Capsule Corp goes down the drain. But Trunks' best friend, Goten, wants to help him out. He thinks that if he found a special someone to confide and find comfort in, he'd be able to find peace. Unbeknownst to him, though, Trunks has actually caught feelings for him as years have gone by - he just doesn't know how to deal with these emotions. However, when Goten sets Trunks up on a date with a girl named Thyme, everything goes to hell almost immediately.
