The Golden Guard. Emperor Belos' right-hand man. One of the highest ranked members of the Emperor's Coven. From birth, he was raised by his uncle, the Emperor, and spent his whole life trying to please the man who gave him everything...but the one thing he longs for more than anything else is his freedom.
With friends by his side, however, he manages to summon the courage to leave the Emperor's Coven...but it all goes wrong.
With him, an innocent demon child, and his only friends suddenly trapped in the Human Realm, and the girl who inspired him to rebel stuck at Belos' mercy, Hunter Wittebane must pick up the mantle of the Red Guard, a heroic persona worn by the previous Golden Guards before him for centuries, and along the way, he must confront his family's dark past, and grow accustomed to the ever odd Human Realm and its ways, while fighting to live to see another day.
However...who knew that, in a world of which he doesn't belong to, he would find something else, other than his and his friends' freedom, worth fighting for?
