Avatar: The Legend Reborn - Book 1: Hope
The Legend Reborn is a story I wrote in late 2014 about the Avatar after Korra. After the release of the Legend of Korra follow up comics I went back and added references to the events of the comics but didn't change my story. Following the 2021 announcement of Avatar Studios I decided to share my ideas since it's very possible Bryke could decide to continue the Avatar Cycle and render my story implausible. I hope they instead decide to go backwards (possibly a Kyoshi series) since there are also many other great fan projects that would be rendered implausible by a Korra sequel (notably The Legend of Genji, a project very different from my own but has my respect and admiration). But who am I to disagree with what Mike and Bryan do with their own fantastic universe. Like Lovers Do (A Zutara Fan Fic)
The war ended 6 years ago. It's been two years since Zuko and Katara have seen each other. The Gaang tries to see each other as much as possible, but as time goes on, it gets harder. During a much needed break, the Gaang reunites to celebrate Suki and Sokka's engagement. When an inconvenience joins the group, Katara and Zuko are faced with the decision to either give into their feelings which have been bubbling under the surface for nearly 7 years, or do what their respective nations expect of them.
