The Protector

This is the second story to The Christmas Mermaid. Drake is an average human that hates his ordinary job and ordinary life, but life gets interesting when he is saved by a mysterious woman from a shark. He is then healed and is requested to be a merman for a month, which is a tradition of the merfolk to swap a human for one of them. He gladly takes the request, but is sad that he has to leave his girlfriend behind. He knows he is only going to be gone for a month unless he decides he wants to spend eternity there. While he gets there he discovers truth about his mom and discovers his purpose. He gets caught taking a magic mirror and is thrown out of the ocean to go on a second request, but this time with an undercover mermaid which is now his undercover fiance. They are told to find The Watchers and bring them to Queen Sequana. The Watchers are a group of humans that have been causing havoc for their kingdom for years capturing them and even killing some. Will Drake get even closer to his purpose? Will Esmeralda love land more than her kingdom home?
