'Zaratorio: The Story Continues' is a political parable dedicated in general to  everyone who believes in #PeaceinUkraine and who says #NoToWar. More specifically, it is written in support of the brave and generous women and men of Medecins Sans Frontiers/Doctors Without Borders. 

As the title implies, there are several other Zaratorio tales on Wattpad. The current story begins with Professor Amber Jessop seeking to escape from 'the far future' - at least a googol of solar years beyond the present day.  More generally, 'Zaratorio: The Story Continues' was originally set in Kyiv in 2021 CE, at various other points in Ukrainian history as well as in 'the far future'.  However, the organisation led by Jessop has recently relocated to "KyivTwo": a semi-holographic entity outside the usual rules of time and space.

I continue to support the medical charity, Médecins Sans Frontières, so you can copy and paste their donation page at the end of each part/chapter. 

There is usually one episode every week, but the serial is currently DISRUPTED due to family illness.

For a while this serial had a 'mature' label, but as the references to sexual activity are far from explicit, and not very numerous, I decided to drop that label.

The text of this story is entirely my own composition. The various illustrations are generally based on photographs that are in the public domain or from what appear to be long neglected websites. If any reader believes that I have violated their copyright, please feel free to contact me, although - given that my purpose is philanthropic (to encourage donations to MSF) - I hope that you will feel charitable towards me. However, from episode 58 onwards, some of the illustrations are and will be my own AI creations!All Rights Reserved

Blasted Futures is a short story collection. All of these works have been written for The Pub's SciFi Smackdown, a contest in which contestants write Science Fiction stories meeting the specifications laid out by the smackdown's host, @ForbiddenPlanet. Wormholes and Wanderlust by MisterCantaloupe

This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. (This story contains depictions of violence, death & murder, gore, strong language and some moderate sexual scenes. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED) I wrote this because I was inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. If you're looking for a mostly military type war story that is similar, this isn't the story for you. While the original inspiration stemmed from GhillieCamo's story, I wrote this story with the intention of creating an intense science-fiction experience, with some horror, thriller and mystery elements. If that isn't what you're looking for, you're simply in the wrong place. Though, I really think I put a lot of effort into this, so it would mean a lot to me to give it a chance. I am a huge fan of science-fiction, and this story definitely reflects that. If you like any of these: books with deep lore, furries, conflict, some romance & awkwardness, horror, robots, star trek, survival, time travel, supernatural powers and aliens, you'll probably like this story. The art in the story was created by me, so please, don't steal it. (But, let's be real, my drawing skills are basic so I don't even know why you'd even want to do that anyway) If you read the whole description, props to you. Anyways, I hope you like my story.

Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.

This is Classic Who companion fanfiction . Back when we were teenagers watching Doctor Who reruns on PBS (Tom Baker on a loop, mostly), my sister and I created a spin-off series we called The Further Adventures of Leela, Andred and K9, or LAK. We had an audience of 1 - our younger brother - but we took this very seriously. We wrote (mostly on a vintage typewriter, later on our Apple IIc) in episodic fashion, similar to Classic Who usually 4 "episodes" per story. We plotted out "seasons," determining story arcs and storylines. We did this for about 4 years. Around the time of the 20th anniversary of LAK, I transcribed the first story (which was the only one we wrote together - after the first one we took turns writing the stories) for my sister. Then - I rewrote it as a novella. I imagine the audience for this would be vanishingly small, but here goes ...

I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. DOCTOR WHO FAN FICTION: Clara Oswald has had trouble sleeping. She can't explain why, or what is causing it, only that something is compelling her to stay wide awake every night. At first she thinks that this is normal, but when The Doctor shows up in his magic blue box and displays the same symptoms, she finds that she's not the only one who isn't getting rest. In fact, her along with the entire human race has had trouble sleeping. Clara tags along with the Doctor to find out what is causing this mysterious event that is overwhelming the entire human race. What they discover is something beyond shocking, that will change the way Clara and the Doctor see the human race and their involvement with extra terrestrial creatures. [ I haven't written a story on this page in a while, and I thought I'd give it another go. This Doctor Who fan fiction is loosely based and inspired by the already existing episode "Listen,"and "Sleep No More," written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis, respectively. I hope you enjoy :)]
