Love is just like the Sun
Bondita Roy Chaudhary is on the path to become a barrister, just like her "Pati Babu". She is going to take the very first step of their dream by joining "St. Alison Law School, Calcutta". The journey of "Tark se fark mitana" was tough but it was equally memorable, or maybe more. But this story is not about the struggles of their rights but it is the story about growing up. Growing and glowing! Meeting people, questioning perspectives but most importantly analyzing oneself and their relation. Having those giddy moments, downcast eyes with ever prominent smile. Realising about the "khichaav" they always swept under the rug. Will this new phase in Bondita's life help them start something new? Will they understand about their relationship as "Pati patni"? Will they give in to their changing emotions and ever swelling desire? This is a story about every Bondita and Aniruddha out there. This is the story we all have been a part of. This is a story we all have dreamt of. This is our story.Concluida
Protishruti: Aniruddh - Bondita's Promises
Set against the evocative backdrop of the beloved show Barrister Babu, Protishruti picks up the story when Bondita Das is fifteen, no longer the child saved from the cruel practice of Sati Pratha, but a young woman awakening to complex truths about her marriage. She discovers how Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the enlightened barrister who returned from Kingston, London, to protect her, never married Bondita out of love. Instead, his union was a sacrifice to save her life. As Bondita's feelings shift from ownership to gratitude, she uncovers a deeper secret: Aniruddha gave up his true love, Saudamini, breaking their engagement to marry her. Why is Saudamini still unmarried? Could the embers of their past love still burn quietly? Meanwhile, Aniruddha wrestles with his growing attraction to Bondita while respecting her unpreparedness. His attempts to keep a distance only deepen misunderstandings, challenging both to confront the realities of their changed relationship. Protishruti is a poignant exploration of love, sacrifice, and the fragile dance of emotions in a marriage born out of duty rather than desire. This novella, originally written in Bengali and translated into English, invites readers to journey through the nuanced struggles and hopes of two souls striving to find their way to each other. For fans of Barrister Babu and lovers of heartfelt, character-driven stories, Protishruti offers a fresh, intimate perspective on a beloved tale.Concluida
