"Daniel." I replied. My voice sounded flat and almost robotic. No emotion of any kind slipping through. Though saying his name brought up a thought I tried to grasp at before it was crushed like the rest.

He chuckled and shook his head. "Boyfriend hmm?" His tone turned serious. "Who is he to you?"

"He's my mate." I replied. Another thought came up but I came no closer to figuring out what it was before it was squashed.

He scowled at me, distaste clearly etched into his face. Shaking his head, he grinned malicously. "Well, he should miss you then." He said before tossing my phone over with my bag.

I nodded again. Not really caring what it was he was saying. I just wanted to agree with him. I needed to agree with him.

He gently grabbed my head before cocking it over to the side. My hair fell away, leaving my neck wide open. It was slightly uncomfortable but I made no attempt to move. I could see his teeth lengthening now but I felt no fear. His veins showed through his skin and they seemed to glow with some other-wordly light. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.
