17-year-old Evan is going into Junior year with hope. He has had the same girlfriend since 9th grade, and he has two best friends who he loves dearly. However, on the first day of school, his teacher assigns a project for the students to get to know each other. When Evan is paired with the schools most popular jock, he is already annoyed. He doesn't hate Oliver, he just doesn't like him. He always gets into fights, is always hanging out with the worst group at Corring High School, and he seems to have all the girls hanging all over him, even when he has a girlfriend.
