Cassidy is a 22 year old woman who lives alongside her abusive boyfriend in the tiny, cloudy town of Conyers, Pennsylvania. Not long after they moved to Conyers, it dawns on Cassidy that she needs a way to get out. He moved her to such a desolate small town for one reason. To isolate her. To control her. So she starts looking for an out. So when two little girls go missing in the tiny town, she sees the public volunteer search party as a perfect way to make close friends with the lead detective on the case, in case he might be able to help her. But she has a rare effect on Detective Loki, which leaves him the decision to help her as his job requires him, or sweep her away from all her troubles as more than a friend.
