At the beginning of the semester, dorm availability quickly ran out, leaving Colette in a difficult position. She was fine with commuting until winter rolled around. Now that she was entering her second semester, finding a place near campus became her top priority. 

Fortunately, her mom's friend is the manager of a rental apartment near the school and was able to squeeze her in. Technically, it wasn't her own place-it was her mom's friend's son's complex. He wasn't occupying the space since he was on a trip. Her mom's friend assured her that he wasn't coming back until a month later and a unit should open up by then.

To her surpirse, he came back a few week early and doesn't seem happy about the arrangment and her in his living space. Despite his looks, he's unapproachable, unsympathetic, or uninterested in bascially everything. If every time he sulked a little and a little of his life span got shaved off, he would be dead by now.    

Colette never met someone so antagonistic as him. She wondered if there was more to him than his grouchy attitude. There doesn't seem to be a bone of kindness in him or-so she thought.All Rights Reserved
