Wednesday hated affection, touch, color, you name it. She lived in black and white. Until it came to Enid Sinclair, everything about the werewolf girl bothered her, but in a good way. Her stomach knotted, she felt sick. Nauseous, just be being near or touched by Enid.
Enid just wanted to be Wednesday's friend. What she did not entail in the matter, was the way the peculiar girl made her feel. She was one that despised color. But one thing that shocked her most in Wednesday's days at Nevermore, was when she hugged back. And at that moment, Enid realized she had fallen, hard.
Wednesday wanted Enid's insufferable, colorful self to be hers. And only hers.
Enid wanted to be hers.
Slight AU, as I don't know if I have their personalities down, and in it, Xavier and Wednesday have a sort of sibling-like bond, but not like the one where she sees Eugene as Puglsey, but yk. (Promoting more strong friendships between female and male characters that dont need to be romanticized, like cmon- friendship exists!!)
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."

Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
