Centuries into the future, earth's humans have changed. After a newly awakened dominant genome triggered the new arrival of superpowers, earth's inhabitants finally became super like their predecessors could have only dreamed of being. With now 50% of the population possessing some kind of power, the earth runs rampant with heroes and villains. And what better to train new aspiring heroes, than thriving hero schools. And better yet, the best one across the world, the Metropolis Hero Academy.
Lilith Ito is a rather odd case. With a rather dark past that left Lilith both with no memory of the event and an unclassified type of Dissociative Identity Disorder, Lilith's home life had always been less than perfect. But as she began to acquire powers and a mentor with a similar ability, Lilith began to do something for herself, even without the intentions of a hero. But after her mentor was killed in action, Lilith finally takes one more selfish step and gets into M.H. Academy based on her dead mentor's recommendation letter.
But keeping her past from her new classmates is hard. From new friends that Lilith doesn't want to scare away to a boy that somehow has captured her heart, Lilith has got her hands full. And as a hidden evil begins to arise from the shadows, Lilith will have to tackle her new life as a hero student with a clear conviction of whom she wants to be and what she'll sacrifice to get there.
But dear reader, you must always remember: Evil still lurks around the corner.

Also, her arm grows back. Oh, and the clones explode. Plausibility is everything to me. Finally, I suppose I should issue a "trigger warning." This book has a lot of sexual content, though it's not a work of erotica. I wanted to look at the reality that sex sometimes addicts two people into a relationship that turns into mutual self destruction. There are dark scenes of emotional abuse, along with some plain old alcohol abuse. It's a story of a life that becomes a train wreck. It's a story about climbing out of that wreckage and beating up bad guys with your exploding clones until you feel better. Arm Fall Off Boy, this one's for you.Complete
