Ella Idell is 16. She's bullied. She loves someone who she thinks will never love her back. Sounds like your typical teenage angst story, right? Ella is a mermaid. Instead of using drugs or alcohol to escape from her life, she swims. Her greatest fear is that someone will discover her secret and her life will get worse. One day, she's out swimming and a small child is caught in a current. She rushes to save him, but someone gets there first. That someone is her long-time crush, lifeguard Ryan Marks. That someone catches a glimpse of her. Massive thanks to @marianatuku for making the lovely cover!
