She's a vampire slayer. No exceptions. Athena grew up in a harsh environment. She witnessed her family brutally killed by the evil creatures as for her they are demons lurking in their city. And when she finally had a chance, she slays every vampires she sees.
Then she met Peter, a royal blood vampire. It seems like her body's reacting whenever she sees this creature. And how can she kill him if she can't resist the attraction she feels for this man? No matter how much she refused, she couldn't stop herself from returning his kisses. This is the first time Athena encounter this kind of emotions towards her enemies. And also, Peter saved her ass several times, he even killed his own race to protect her. But she won't let her guards down. For her, vampires are the same. They are evil.
As per Peter, he knew Athena is a vampire slayer, but he's her mate. This woman is a full blooded human. Everytime she's near his body's reacting. He wants to kiss and hold her but she's pushing him away. The enemy of his clan wants to kill his mate, and he'll do everything to keep her safe.
Is it possible that a vampire is destined to be with a vampire slayer? What will Peter do to change Athena's mind that not all vampires are the same?

He watched as her eyes skimmed over his dark eyes and black hair with barely a reaction. He felt his pride twinge a bit so he went further. Lifting his hands, he let the blood drip from them. Intrigued now, he went to the window of the house and watched as she reassured her mother that the dog was gone "I'll see you tonight, reckless child." He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok?
