There's light. Light. shimmering against eyelids. A glow whispering ever so gently in her ears. Telling her to open her eyes, to wake up.
She's grown used to the dark, this deep space that only leads to nothing. But now there's this pounding within her. It comes in waves. Each one is heavier and faster than the one before. Flooding her from the inside out, as if attempting to pull her body apart, yet simultaneously crushing everything Is she's made of.
The light is louder than the dark. Shouting, but not angry. All of a sudden, she's struggling to hold on.
