The most popular T.V. program in the media-obsessed Gecko City is Prodigal Development Plan. In this show, teenagers aged 16-18 who are the best in their fields must kill each other and escape it. But in the latest season, they let a spider into their system.
Unbeknownst to the administrators, the Prodigal Maid, Shanna Spinsky, is the child of an Arachne, giving her a slightly monstrous appearance that she tries to hide. After running away from her parents after they fought over her desire to fit in, Shanna joined P.D.P. and got caught killing the Prodigal Athlete. However, Shanna's spider heritage lets her escape the execution and break out of the game with her game memories intact. So now she must deal with two worlds in her head, her monstrous biology, her parents, and everything she cares about is a lie.All Rights Reserved

Although, with all of the fear Setsuko has always bottled up inside of her, it would sound much easier to befriend her than to actually be able to do it.
