Grief is all-consuming. It is relentless. And it changes every person it touches, beyond belief.

James Potter was no exception. When he lost his wife and son on Halloween of 1981, the part of him that believed in goodness died along with them. In their wake remained a man who cared only about one thing: justice.

To him, justice was crimson- justice was the blood of Death Eaters.

He grew tired of putting his faith in the Order, in Dumbledore, and took matters into his own hands, ridding the world of as many members of the Dark Lord's army as he could. Until one day, he learned that he wasn't the only former Order member with a thirst for vengeance.

James Potter is a man who feels everything. Vivienne Hart is a woman who has trained herself to feel nothing at all. Together, they might just be able to take down Voldemort once and for all.

The blade in her grasp ached her wrist. Like an uncleaned paintbrush, the remnants of her work remained on the delicate steel. Crimson paint smothered her canvas. His chest was hollow. The paint ran through every wrinkle in her weighted palm like a flooded river. She could still feel it beating as her fingers curled around his soul. He did not leave her skin untouched. His chest was not the only hollow one. She too was a canvas of crimson. He too curled his fingers around her soul. They bled together. There was something beautiful about the gorges they had carved into one another. No angel could ever find beauty in something so horrific. But with their hearts in each other's palms, clinging to the blades they had used to carve them out, to two devils, there was no greater act of love. They left the cavities in their chest untreated and hollow. Because not another soul could ever treat a wound so raw and bloody. Not another soul could ever fill a cavity so deep. Not another soul could ever love Sirius Black or Lillian Cox harder than they loved one another. -- Lillian Cox and Sirius Black had always known of the blades they clutched. Violent and vicious devils, ready to use their weapons for the worse. An envious snake with venom-dripping fangs and a wounded lion with only his roar to protect him. It was in their nature to fight one another. Until they realised it was so much easier to love than fight. Unfortunately, there were already too many wounds on their flesh to ever heal. -- MATURE CONTENT WARNING Sirius Black x FemOC Highest rankings - #1 Marauders { 06 . 06 . 22 } & {07 . 08 . 23}, #1 Andrew { 02 . 11 . 22} & {12. 01. 23} #1 1970s {04. 12. 22}, #1 Remus {28 . 02 . 23 } #1 Andrewgarfield {16. 05. 23} #1 benbarnes {06.02.24}

Mischief Managed Y2 Part 2: The Truth of the Tournament

82 parts Complete

In the aftermath of the worst Christmas ever Remus is confronted by a host of problems and one extremely confusing letter. Fearing he would never step foot in Hogwarts again Remus finds himself back at the magic castle he calls a home. In returning, Remus accepts the fact he may have lost all his friends only to realize that is not at all the case. But things are never easy for the young werewolf and he struggles to navigate the second half of the year which may prove to be even more draining than the first half! For starters the tensions between the schools grow as the second Triwizard Task approaches. Also Remus is forced to sort out his feelings for his friends and finds himself making some tough decisions regarding his relationships. With budding new friendships and well as strained old ones Remus discovers that he hardly gets any time alone. However when he is alone, the questions Remus has about every aspect of his life seem to overwhelm him so perhaps the constant company is a good thing... even if it does leave him completely drained. Only one persistent question keeps haunting him along with familiar and distinctly unpleasant dreams. A question which Remus slowly begins to piece together. What exactly happened to him when Greyback kidnapped him?
