Shimmer's sister has been looking for her with the help of her friends Mylo, Claggar, and Jinx. the first step is to get Vi out of prison which they can with the help of Caityln, the daughter of the wealthy Kiramman family. 
Vi who has been locked up for roughly 10 years has been thinking about her long lost friend Ocean, who she doesn't know if she is dead or alive. Caitlyn comes to break her out of prison to help find her friend. When she and her friends meet Shimmer, something in Vi peaks an interest in the girl with a similar fighting style, tattoos, and personality of the girl she was in love with.

Losing both Isha and Jinx, on top of the stress of being a Councilor, has taken its toll on her. She can't bear to find people she connects to in fear of losing them as well. Jinx is alive. Not well, but alive. She barely escaped the blast of her grenade with her shimmer-induced speed, dragging her heavily injured body through an air duct. Now, she's all alone again, inside of the tunnel systems. She doesn't know where to go, scrounging for scraps and barely making it through each day. Ekko's returned to the Firelights, but a change has occurred. He had started to mend his relationship with Jinx, and after the news of her death hit him, he stopped finding joy in things. The young Firelights playing, the sunlight streaming through the tree, his hoverboard, all things that used to put a smile on his face, just seem to remind him of Jinx. Jayce and Viktor are stranded in space. The blast from the Arcane destroyed their mortal forms, and now only their celestial bodies remain. They travel to different universes now, helping people when needed, or just talking about their memories together. The whole cult-exploding put a rift in their relationship, but they are mending and expanding it slowly.
