It was Azrael's first time in NYC, he was there hunting down Cleo, the daughter of the man that stole a hefty sum of cash and land from him. Filled with stress, Azrael seeks comfort in a bar, where he meets a woman named Nani, and he's intrigued at first sight. Unbeknownst to him, the woman named Nani was actually the woman he was looking for, Cleo, had went by another name to hide from an abusive ex-husband who'd been looking for her after she fled.

That night Cleo forces Azrael to go out with her to a pizzeria spot where they have a couple of drinks and end up in the back of her bar, that night starts the relationship that would leave Cleo pregnant after a single broken condom.

Her pregnancy causes problems, with Azrael's father and his ex-wife and baby mother Avanti, and his already troublesome brother Damian.

Cleo has to learn how to juggle with her business, pregnancy and a ex who's creeping his way back into her life, while being held hostage by Azrael for her father's debt.

During this journey secrets are revealed and a certain someone that haunts
