"Was that a laugh?" I ask, smiling. I haven't heard him laugh yet. It was only a short chuckle, but it was definitely there. I look into the rearview mirror that's sat in front of his helmet to look at him. Who needs a rearview mirror in space?
"Have you never seen space before?" he asks, sounding bewildered. I shake my head. The only time I'd ever been in space before was when I was fleeing Lah'mu and the Jedi hunters. We were hidden in a box on a freight vessel. You can't see stars from the inside of a box.

One night working at the tavern, a tall shiny metal man came inside looking for directions, but he disappeared mysteriously. Never would I have thought the very next day I'd be in his ship leaving my home to go find a little green dude he won't shut up about.

Aldor's Eye - Part I
Loss of faith and purpose have driven Mando and Grogu into the Unknown Regions in search of cover. Din is sent down a new path when he meets a beautiful hermit on an uncharted planet. Din is distrustful of a woman who claims to remember Grogu from the Jedi Temple, but gives in to Grogu's wishes, and allows her to train his Foundling son. The peace he finds on The Eye reveals long-buried secrets, and forces him to acknowledge the power rising within him. Meanwhile, the Galaxy is crumbling under the pressure of Imperial Remnants. When foes and refugees come to disturb Din's newfound peace, he must decide whether to turn his back on the Galaxy or to embrace his destiny as a reluctant leader. **Strays from canon around Season 3 - many liberties taken with Star Wars canon outside the Mandoverse** ***Aldor's Eye, Part II is in progress, but may take me a bit. The Foundling
Din Djarin must defend the child against dark Force wielders who would gladly take the little one off his hands. He will have to decide whether to trust some new allies, for the safety of the child. Note: This was written before season 2 of The Mandalorian came out. I wanted to throw together some characters from different Star Wars series and see how they'd interact. Turns out, a couple of them did end up meeting. In this story, they get to go on a whole adventure. They learn some things about each other and about themselves along the way, which is often painful, but could create bonds of trust if that's what they choose. Getting into these characters' heads and exploring the Force and the galaxy far far away have been an amazing ride. I finished this story on May the 4th, 2020. Then later, my friends urged me to polish it up and put it out there. So here it is for anyone who would enjoy it! It's not meant to replace anything that's going on in the show (which has been amazing so far, by the way). It's just an exploration and speculation on these characters and their universe. This is a fanfiction. The universe, most of the characters, and most of the locales belong to Star Wars. If you search a character or planet on Wookieepedia and it comes up with nothing, chances are I made them up (because I checked, too, before I gave them names). However, they were sometimes partly inspired by existing characters or planets in Star Wars. My use of the mando'a language was inspired by its use in Karen Traviss's Republic Commando novels (which I highly recommend if you want to learn some things about Mandalorian culture . . . And they're good stories.)Completa

Mando needs a guide to the Madlands, she needs a ride that can keep her one step ahead of the Ministry. ------ Set after The Mandalorian season two: Searching for his lost Tribe, Mando has followed hints of a trail all the way to the Madlands - a distant and notoriously difficult corner of the galaxy. Between the ever-shifting spatial anomalies and the sector's primary syndicate, he'll need a guide. The information trader that he takes aboard the Razor Crest can certainly help in his search, if they can both stay ahead of the growing trouble she seems to have gotten herself into. ------ Thank you for taking a look at my story - a plot-rich slow-burn with (what I feel are) rewarding pay-offs, plus some fun and adventure along the way! ------ Here's a sample paragraph (spoiler-alert!): "Mando settled back into the pilot's seat while Grey took her spot and dragged a datapad onto her lap. When he looked back a few minutes later, she was fast asleep. He sighed, stood, and came to move the screen out of her limp hands. As he carefully pulled it away, the signet caught his attention. She was still wearing it, perhaps hadn't once taken it off. Her cloak was unclasped, and the pendant sat half on the skin of her sternum, half on the soft fabric of her tank as it swelled over her breasts. Having the metal wrought into the shape of his Mudhorn had probably been a level of detail beyond what the ruse required. But he hadn't wanted to give her someone else's mark, or even something more general. Staring at it as it rose and fell with each of her breaths, Mando felt the surge of an emotion that he knew had no place to go."
