Stanley gets bored one day, but he has no way of telling The Narrator that. So he just goes through a run to get to the Zending room to relax for a while and look at all the pretty colors. Maybe that'll cure his boredom. He hates what he has to do next, but he doesn't have a choice. Does he?

Stanley and The Narrator, a pair never made to last. Creator and creation. "Let's go back just once and give Stanley one more run of the office, Then I'll retire him for good." Stanley found himself desperately attempting to extend this last run of his as much as he could but ultimately couldn't escape from the end after all. The end of the parable and the end of his life chased him relentlessly. And he was going to run out of breath. He awoke one day to sand and sky and the sun gliding over him. ---------------------- This is not going to include any romance, (unless you look closely ig) BUT hear me out, this is an emotional rollercoaster through the path I'm pretty sure most players go through. Just told in a dramatic pre release au Stanley and Narrator thing. Where Stanley - a real person- had helped the narrator cover all corners of the game and create new endings. Stanley had been stuck here for what? years? He wanted out, and he wanted out now. Sadly, the narrator wouldn't let him leave, driving him insane. He just wanted out. He didn't care if he'd have to hurt himself or the narrator. If he got out, he got out. The narrator had been stuck here longer and when Stanley appeared, he finally had company. A friend even. Or so he thought. Plenty of times had Stanley run away or jumped off something to avoid the narrator and each time it'd reset. the narrator knew he talked a lot, but all he wanted was a friend. ------------- This is the first fanfic I've ever finished.
