Harry Potter has sacrificed himself for the so called greater good, waking up in the pure white and abandoned train station. However instead of being greeted with Dumbledore he is greeted by Death and is given a choice. When he made his choice he wasn't expecting to fall in love.
Tom Marvolo Riddle arose from the dead a little disoriented and confused. He had expected one of his cowardly yet loyal followers to bring him back but he was surprised to be greeted with a masked figure with glowing green eyes.

"Can you at least tell me where I am?" Riddle asked, breaking the silence. "I think the better question is 'when I am','" Harry said dryly. There was a startled look on Riddle's face before it was erased in favour of the blank expression the boy wore. "What do you mean?" Riddle asked cautiously. Harry withheld a snort. Riddle knew perfectly well what Harry meant by that. Harry could see it on his face. Whatever, I don't have time for this. He still had to plan on how to deal with the Dursleys. "Today is August 2nd, 1995," Harry deadpanned, relishing in the way those words caught Riddle off guard. The feeling sent a jolt up his spine. "How the- I travelled 50 years into the future?!" The sheer befuddlement and shock in those words were enough to make Harry believe that he'd gotten the date wrong. Or Tom Riddle almost dies, wants to survive and is delivered to 15 year old Harry Potter. In that order.
