The Land of Ignos was prosperous and peaceful since time immeasurable. The riders had always been well respected, but in recent years they have become novelty. The numbers of dragons have been dwindling slowly over the past few decades. The fledglings are either hatched weak or die within the egg. Now even the humans have started having the same problem. The babies are either dying in wombs or soon after birth. No one can figure out the problem, nor find a solution. The academy now has hardly 2-3 new dragon rider pairs per year. This year the scene looks even more bleak. There are only 2 eggs. Chances are one of the fledglings will die within, which means only one dragon rider pair. And if both die.... ?! This marks the worst year so far. But on the bonding day, Ignos gets a shocking surprise! A new dragon rider pair suddenly arrive at the academy, and they're not fledglings either. Who are they? Where did they come from? Does this mean end of this cursed period of dwindling? Or is it going to bring more problems?

(#12 in Necromancer)Cody has heard all the stories, read all the myths, and knows everything about his world, Semiones. Or does he? When he finds a dragon egg, he discovers that everything he knew about his world, isn't true at all. He and the rest of humankind have been shielded from reality, and as enemies grow stronger, the shields grow weaker. Only, the fate of the elves, dwarfs, and dragons are on the line as well. Life itself may vanish from Semiones forever, if he can't at least subdue his opponent long enough to learn the ways of the riders. He alone can save his friends and family from destruction. He alone will bring back the Dragon Warriors. As long as the enemy is stopped before it is too late. (I was inspired to write this book by the 'Inheritance Cycle' series, so there are a few similarities...Enjoy the book!)
