After the Harran outbreak in 2014 and the global contamination in 2021 known as "The Fall", humanity is threatened with extinction by hyperaggressive zombie creatures that currently dominate the food chain. With few places left with hope in the world, the human race resists as it can and fights to the end, even though they don't know if there is a possibility of finding a cure.
Hannah Vegas is one of the few survivors of this huge and dangerous world taken by constantly evolving monsters. Once a valuable guinea pig and now a wanderer, she has unbelievable skills that encourage her to face even the most feared night creatures known as volatiles, but she often suffers from visions and nightmares that lead to a sudden amnesia. This memory loss caused her to forget parts of her past and she has been fighting this condition ever since.
Hannah's life changes completely when soldiers in blue and red vests meet her and say things that make her even more confused. Being constantly chased and attacked by them for unknown reasons, she finds shelter and something to fight for when she joins a hidden and humble group of survivors in Colorado.
As time goes by, Hannah takes comfort in the shelter and begins to share her problems with the survivors of the group. She learns new things and shares what she has learned with her former groups in other parts of the United States. Doubts arise as more things happen and solutions appear when she finds out that the biggest problem of all has been right under their noses all along. Literally.
This story takes place after the events of the Dying Light game franchise. I hope you like it and have fun.

PLEASE READ. So, I've had this story in mind for a bit of time now and I hope you'll like it. In this story what's left of humanity has spent twenty years surviving in a post-apocalypsetic landscape, this includes a young boy named Y/N Grimes. After the death of his parents he spent his life surviving alone in the world. While Y/N is moving through Chicago he ends up running into a crew known as the Fireflies and the crew's leader named Tommy Miller. The two form a bond and Y/N ends up joining the Fireflies in Chicago. He helps them fight off FEDRA forces in the city, but over time he and Tommy start to see the the flaws of the Fireflies. So, they both leave Chicago and the Fireflies behind. They both end up in Wyoming to find a community known as Jackson, they end up finding it and join the community becoming protectors of Jackson. And they continue to do so until they go on a mission to fix the nearby hydro-electric plant and running into Tommy's brother and a young girl. So, this story will be somewhat based on the games in a sense. You'll see what I mean as the story goes on. Now, I don't own any of the characters I use in this story. Everything changes after a decision led her to encounter a faction called "The Line." Will her new allies provide her hope in ever making it out of the city? Or is she still doomed to a fate that befell countless innocents? P.S. This is my first attempt at ever writing something lolz.
