Maia is an angel. At least, she was. Now, all she can remember is going to battle and then...falling. She fell to Earth, leaving her wings horribly injured after attempting to save herself and becoming shrouded in fire. They're useless. But she can't give up hope. A mysterious man named Adonis says he can help her. He says he is not divine like Maia and yet he knows more than any mortal man could know about healing divine figures. But how can he truly help her? He holds more secrets than Maia could even attempt to figure out. And if he does keep his word and heal Maia the way he claims he can, how can she choose between staying with him and trying to get accepted back into heaven, where she's most likely been forgotten?
