Oba finds herself in a sticky situation when adolescents ages 14-17 are kicked out of their tribe to go find a new place for the tribe to settle. Her only desire is to keep her and her sister alive, but she finds herself burdened with the responsibility of keeping the entire band of kids alive along with a man she thinks she has nothing in common with. Their odds weren't great to begin with, but as time goes on the likelihood of their survival becomes more of a hopeless idea than a small possibility.
