Darkness Ascending

The critical parts of this are:
- Everyone's a generation older (or instead, events happen a generation later)
- Naruto takes Obito's place
- Sasuke takes Kakashi's place
- the fic follows Team Seven

Uchiha Sasuke takes in the latest iteration of Team Seven -- his team -- with his one remaining eye and Naruto's eye behind an eye patch with a secret. Naruto would have loved them, but instead of a friend, there's just an empty grave and a hole in Sasuke's life. The Kannabi Bridge mission broke them both. Still, it doesn't do to linger on the topic for too long because there's still danger in the world. A man in an orange mask killed The Third Hokage's wife and stole the Kyuubi who killed The Fourth and his wife, orphaning their only child, and nobody knows where he'll strike next.
