After the Land of Waves Arc, which goes differently than canon, mainly due to Naruto being stronger, Naruto gets exiled from the village due to a few things that will be explained in the story. After that, he ends up joining the Kiri Bloodline Rebellion for various reasons that will be explained in the story.
