All was well -- until it wasn't. Sydney Ave is on her first true voyage in space when it all goes wrong. Before this voyage, all nineteen and a half years of her life were spent in a martian colony city. Her family never had the money to travel to Earth for vacations or to visit their distant relatives, and Sydney signed on to a low paying shuttle job for a chance at seeing the other planets.

Kiralie Haze has been out of work since an accident four months ago, which left her plagued by painful headaches and sporadic memory loss. When Sydney, the friend she's loved since childhood, takes a job on a supply shuttle, she decides to reenter the workforce as a cremate alongside her. When the murders begin, Kiralie's health struggles make survival a more dangerous game than any could have predicted.
