In Konohagakure, the shadowy land of assassins and marauders, there lives an assassin more prominent than all the rest. Cold, ruthless, and cruel, he carries out any and every task offered to him when money is involved. However, when a mysterious man aiming for power causes him to become involved with the princess of the land, who is none other than Sakura, he is forced to make a very difficult choice. Should he carry through with his assigned job of disposing of the girl, or will he finally come to terms with the fact that he is not just a "tool"?
