The Break is a harsh, slum-like environment beneath the surface of Shinjuku-Ku, Japan. It is the home of abandoned demons; it's not quite the underworld, but not quite the surface, either. It's the grey area in between, and very few escape it. One of the victorious is a young boy, by the name of Kaoru Katsumi, at the tender age of sixteen. A demon with an ambitious streak, and plenty of talent.
They say that ambition is the key to success... however, when is 'how much' too much?
