Willow wasn't your average vampire in more ways than one: Werewolves were beings with whom she made friends, not enemies. She was a Cullen. Now, she could append "product of family feud" to that growing list.

Forever fifteen might be some middle-aged human's dream, but not Willow's. Not when she didn't sleep. Not after everything that had happened. She had lost her father, a brother. Most of her family⎯what was supposed to be her family⎯now lay in their own broken fragments, scattered across the globe. How could anyone think she might be different?

Her piece of the world was Jericho, Vermont. Boarding school was a last resort, an ultimatum she was happy to be issued. Perhaps it meant hurting someone she loved⎯who was she kidding? Of course, she'd hurt someone she loved⎯but she'd do it again. She had been desperate to get away. Given her circumstances, no one was inclined to let her out of their sights, let alone send her across the country.

It was this or going crazy.

At least they could all finally agree: The East Coast wasn't the greater of those two evils.

But will Willow really keep her sanity at Nevermore Academy? When she encounters the likes of a similarly damaged boy, when her new best friends make new best friends, when the town is inexplicably and irreversibly sucked into a whirlwind of mysterious deaths, it seems rather unlikely.
