Leah's freshman year at college has just started. She hasn't been more excited but she's also sad because she has to leave her family. At NYU Leah meets Corey, her best friend from Middle school. They reconnect and become great friends. Everything's good. Until she got news that her brother had died of a car crash. She flies home to support her mom dad and sister. She stays out of school for a month. Leah returns to school broken and sad. Corey wants to help. He talks to his friend Jordan. Jordan offers for her to go to his support group. Leah goes and meets Jordan. The two have a strong and good bond that later turns into something more.

Ryan is a high school junior. It's her first year in high school. She's been home schooled her entire life due to her overprotective mother.
