"It was in the wee hours of the morning when the storm was starting to die down, when I heard it.
It was like nothing I had ever heard before.
It was heartbreaking.
It was the sound of someone in agony. It was a cross between a cry and a scream.
It was horrible to listen to, and yet you had no choice but to take in the suffering.
It was a warning.
I was running out of time."
Andie Murphy is a twenty-two year old woman who is freshly graduated from College. Taking advantage of her dual citizenship, she moves to Ireland to live with her Grandfather and discovers the local legend of the Banshee, a legend that had only recently been established. Investigating the folklore leads to friendship, romance, finding her place in the world, and much more. Part ghost story and part coming of age, The Banshee is a story about an individual's trials and errors in navigating reality, as well as the inconceivable.
The Banshee is partly based on my own experience studying abroad in the beautiful country of Ireland, but is also enhanced by my own imagination. As a recently graduated college student who studied Chemistry, writing doesn't necessarily come naturally, but being an avid reader hopefully made up for my lack in grammar skills...Compliments and comments are greatly appreciated, but please don't be too harsh if you chose the latter, I have sensitive feelings 😂
I hope you enjoy it!!
Werewolves and vampires don't mix, or that's what Kieran Callisto, a seventeen-year-old vampire, has believed all his life - until he falls for the Alpha's son.
*****
When Kieran meets his new classmate, Mason Kane, he bristles with an unexplainable disdain. Soon it becomes apparent why: Mason is a werewolf. But when a fight turns into a sudden kiss that neither expects, Kieran's feelings for Mason turn to attraction in an instant. None of it makes sense - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, so why does Kieran find Mason so irresistible? He knows that each kiss is dangerous, each bite is unpredictable...
