Set in the year 1925, this story follows the life of 34 year old Montgomery Burns, a wealthy tycoon and gadabout taking advantage of the business opportunities of the Roaring 20s with his frivolous shindigs. However, his grandfather wants him to settle down, marry, and further the family line since he is the only heir. In order to avoid being betrothed to his cousin, Monty flees to France along with his best friend Nigel and their Yale buddies. Without his parties and women, Monty is forced to face his internal strife and repressed bisexuality. He eventually finds himself forming a bond with his host, Fritzroy von Köhlen, a German military veteran and fellow aristocrat.
