This is a KazuScara (Kaedehara Kazuha x Scaramouche / Kunikuzushi) fan fiction book. None of the characters used in this story are owned by me, all credits to HOYOVERSE's game; Genshin Impact.
Three betrayals, surely no more? How sorely mistaken he was to believe such a thing. Four, five, six.. too many times to count. Too many times has he been fooled into thinking he could trust anyone.
Perhaps meeting the wandering samurai of the Kaedehara clan will change his fate? Perhaps his poor existence will finally meet a happy ending? Only after one last betrayal shall he discover joy, just ???????????? ????????????????...

No Longer Human (Kazuscara)
Firstly, this story deals with self harm and suicidal themes. If this is a sensitive subject for you, please turn back now or whenever you feel like you need to. Put your safety first as always. Secondly, Kazuha and Scaramouche might be a bit OOC (out of character) here. This is because I'm exploring new roles and themes for them. I hope it doesn't bother anyone or show too much. Thirdly, I took inspiration from BSD Beast, hence the name of the fic being a reference to Osamu Dazai's book No Longer Human, and the whole mafioso thingy. I wrote this a while ago but lowkey forgot about it so I'm posting it now on here. Without further delay, I hope you enjoy reading! Summary: Kaedehara Kazuha: the boss of a famed criminal organization, the Fatui. Scaramouche: the lead detective working on the case of the mysterious new Fatui leader. Their meeting happens seemingly by chance, at an empty and desolate bar. The friendship that forms afterwards is something tender and intimate. Kazuha is taken to train and become a samurai from a young age. One day a new boy joins that looks nothing like a fighter, a perfect target for young bullies. The only one that doesn't judge by looks is Kazuha. They become close, almost inseparable. The vision hunt decree forces the boy to flee. When they reunite again, it's at the start of a war. And more than that, they are no longer young boys training together. They are a Fatui Harbinger and a samurai. Scaramouche has little time left to tell his story before the battle starts.
