Hayley soon learns though this break in and criminals are far from normal, facing her captives with fangs and bloody crimson eyes she must face reality that she is in fact not safe. She's been forced into the ownership of drifters, Vampires who drift with no intention but to enslave humans and use and abuse them until broken, literally.
Then there is Matt, the bipolar sexy and mysteriously brooding Vampire sitting opposite to her on the other side of the campfire. He scowls at her and she scowls back, she's adamant that nothing can take her down and she's one hundred percent sure because although he's a confusing puzzle and a dangerous drifting Vampire she feels safe and blessed in his presence, and she is certain it isn't Stockholm Syndrome. He makes her feel exotic and wild, she feels things that create havoc.
Yet that's not all that's about to come, Hayley has a long journey in front of her and she's got a long way to go in decoding Matt, trusting him and escaping from the dreadful Vamps.
Falling into the world of The Unbelievables she must face the harsh realities of the world and the horrors, can she handle it? She's strong and has a heart of gold but with the hurdles and consequences that lay before can she push through and come above with her heart intact, and maybe even in possession of a sexy, gorgeous and mysterious Vampire?
